I designed it just for myself and it wasn’t added to my store, until one day a lady, Arlinda, saw me wearing them at a local restaurant and she and her friends said they loved them. So I went back home and added them to my store, but didn’t know what to name them.
When I created this design and chose the colors, I was following whatever feeling I had within me at the time, which was around Fall in New Jersey - perhaps that’s where the chianti base color comes in.
I’m normally a minimalist, but at times I want to wear something that pops and is different, so I can be at either extremes, like with my shoes Landscape Personality. But this design is a combination because the splatter represents the wild, but the subtle blending of colors shows the minimalism.
I’d say it’s minimalistic chaos. This, this is what I wanted to express…expanding my shoe design options.
As someone I know, Sammy Kaplan, said, “…we are meant for expansion and fuller expression”, so go and “experience life in a new and expanding way”.
